Producing energy from renewable resources - via solar, wind, geothermal, tidal and hydro power - will open up thousands of job opportunities for Australians.
Many of these jobs will be in rural and regional Australia, and will include jobs for builders, electricians, linespeople, fitters/mechanics, systems controllers, plant technicians, metalworkers, crane operators, engineers, power station operators, project managers, production/performance managers, system designers, system managers. A strong renewable industry could employ 375,000 people by 2030. 1
